Unfortunately i haven't got it done traditionally yet cos it starts at RM350 and the design must be a borneo motif (Ernesto is particular about that), but according to Ernesto and some others who got it done traditionally, it hurts less.
It also lasts longer although the design may be 'rougher' than with the machine

Frm experience.. No it doesn’t hurt as much as some ppl claimed it to be. The pain is like the type that you wanted to feel more.
Seriously, if you ask me will I ever be getting it done again with my hard to absorb "thick" skin?... YESH! This Feb and another one this July before the Music Festival.
